Despite a few little issues (no hr measurements for two days, different distance readings on both the app and the website for the same run, the three-hour-long firmware update........) I've been fairly happy with my charge 3 since I got it in October, but I am getting annoyed at the frequency of these little glitches.
I updated the firmware on Wednesday (2nd Jan ) to 28.20001.49.45. AFTER I'd been out on a jog but BEFORE syncing my Fitbit with the app.
Post update elevation
Preupdate elevation
Imagine my suprise when the app then said I'd done 321 floors that day!!! I live on the ground floor, and spend most of my day parked at my desk at work. The most floors it has ever recorded in a day before is 14!!!
Since then I've been apparently doing over 100 floors on most days.
I've been looking at the elevations logged for my runs, because I do pretty much the same route. Screenshots attached show elevation records for pre- and post- update logs - funny because I don't remember being in a Submarine!
I know the altimeter works on pressure etc etc etc but come on, this is silly.
My issues with my Fitbit may only be small, but they are so often, with little resolution offered. They have still not been able to explain why one run shows two different distances in both the app and the website dashboard, but they did at least thank me for bringing it to their attention.
Someone at work asked me the other day whether they should upgrade their £20-amazon-purchased-hongkong tracker to a Fitbit.......I diplomatically told them to do some research. At the moment I think I should have told them to save their hard-earned cash.

Hey there @Tonya8102, it's nice to see you here! Thanks for the detailed information and for the screenshots provided.
In this case, as you may know, there are a couple of things that may be causing your tracker to record extra floors. It's inner altimeter will calculate altitude based on atmospheric pressure. Pressure changes due to things like weather or gusts of wind may record floors. Check more information here.
Now, if the tracker continues to do this everyday; please perform a restart on it. That should certainly help you out with this.
Hope that helps!

I am experience the same situation! Before January 2020 i was doing only 14 to 20 floors a day. Now i do more than 100!! few days it count 450 floors. These days due covid-19 i am at home and working from home, no way i should get more than 10 floors. I wake up with 5 floors already on my device. I discussed with fitbit guys, they just know how to reset, they always suggest me for reset or restart. I did that 100 times still same issue. Now they say we are offering you 25 % discount for your next purchase. This is not a solution... they should recall this faulty model charge 3.
Thanks!
