I have a Charge 3 (this is the 2nd one...the first one had to be returned for a different screen problem that couldn'tbe fixed). For the past couple months, the display has been getting dimmer and dimmer. Now, when I am outside, I can't read it at all. I have tried everything that has been recommended in previous posts from the past year, including swiping to settings and trying normal and auto (doesn't help) and restarting my fitbit (doesn't help). I have also switched clock faces to try and help to no avail. I also read that this is a known problem and has been for at least the past year. What else can be done? Is there an update that will fix this? Please advise!

Hello @Rebeccafre have you tried a restart of the Charger 3. Changed the setting to bright?
BTW I moved your Charge 3 hardware question out of Android support.

Hi Rich,
As I stated above, I have tried restarting AND changing the brightness setting (only have the option of auto or normal and neither helps). Any other ideas?

I have been having the same problem. The top ¾of my screen is completely blank and I can barely see the date. I drove 2 hours one way to the nearest best buy where I bought it only to be told to contact fitbit directly.

I was an early adopter and got mine 11/3/2018 shortly after it came out. During the 1 year warrantee perid I had 3. Fitbit Charge 3s. One replaced because it bricked, 2nd times was due to dim screen (probably about 9 months after receiving it). It does not appear they fixed this issue. I suggest you contact their customer service. Before I did that I went thru all the online fixes I could find. They will run you thru some different scenarios but if you are within the first year since purchasing , they will most likely replace it. I was so mad the 2nd time that I asked about getting a different model. All they would give was a % (small) off a new version of a different model. And just FYI mine just bricked again with the latest software update... Oh yes that was after it reported my pulse after waking up as 138, and then the heart rate died. Then I updated it which is the final nail in the coffin of my ever buying another Fitbit.

Where do you find the settings control for brightness?

Swipe to the left until you see settings. Brightness will be one of the options.
