Charge 3 no longer vibrates

For the last few weeks, my charge 3 no longer vibrates for notifications, alarms, reaching daily goals etc.

I’ve tried ‘forgetting device’ and reconnecting it to the app, and rebooting the Fitbit but neither have worked.

Thank you for joining the thread and sharing that you're experiencing the same issue. I appreciate your troubleshooting efforts and recommend confirming that you don't have "do not disturb" or "sleep" mode turned on: press and hold the button on your device. Tap a setting to turn it off. When you turn off the setting, the icon appears dim with a line through it. For more information, see How do I navigate my Fitbit device's screen?

Let me know how it goes, I'll be around.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Holly155.

I am sorry to hear your Charge 3 no longer vibrates. Thanks for trying to resolve this and I am here to help. I recommend following the troubleshooting tips in this help article: Why didn't my Fitbit device alert me?

If the issue persists, I recommend doing the following:

  1. Please confirm the steps to restart the device: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
  2. Perform a long restart:
  • Connect the device to the charging cable.
  • While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  • The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration
  • The device turns off.
  • The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  • Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  • Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

Additionally, I recommend checking if your Fitbit app is updated to the latest version as updates come with new features and bug fixes: How do I update the Fitbit app?

Keep me posted on the outcome. I'll be around if you have any additional questions.

Hello,

Thank you for the response.

I’ve now tried the troubleshooting advice from the article and the long restart, however, it’s still not vibrating (and didn’t at the end of the long restart). The app is up to date as well.

I'm experiencing the same issue. Did the long restart, still not vibrating. It CAN vibrate, as it vibrates when I change the vibration strength, but I'm still not getting alarms or hourly notifications to move.

I did the hard restart thing mentioned above, and made sure DND and sleep were off (I think one of them had turned on without my asking it to) and it's working again now.

I hope that they find a way to assist you. From all the research I've done, Fitbit is the best fitness tracker for me and my lifestyle, but my goodness is it buggy and problematic sometimes.
