I am sorry to hear your Charge 3 screen has gone grey with lines. Thanks for trying to resolve this, I totally understand how you are feeling and I am here to help. Since you've tried to restart the tracker and change a clock face, I would like to confirm if you've tried doing a long restart:

  • Connect the device to the charging cable.
  • While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  • The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration
  • The device turns off.
  • The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  • Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  • Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

Additionally, I recommend checking if your Fitbit app is updated to the latest version as updates come with new features and bug fixes: How do I update the Fitbit app?

Keep me posted on the outcome.

Hi,

My Fitbit has started doing the same thing. It has lines going top to bottom through numbers. I’ve tried all your suggestions, but still not working properly 😞

I have the same issue and it seemed to occur after the recent software update...in my case the screen is blank. . I tried the workarounds also...

Can you **ahem** the outcome here?

This recipy does not work.  Istead of inventing procedures you should improve the quality of.your Charger 3. Usei a Charger 2 for a year without problemas.

Mine is the same and I have done all of the above and it will be a year old in January. Have you solved it?

I was having the same problem, but I’ve gone from lines to a completely blank screen. It still syncs with my phone, but I can see absolutely nothing. I’ve reset and updated everything. But still no changes. I’ll try the clock face change, but since I can’t see the screen I’m not holding out hope 😞
