Charge 3 is draining the battery quickly

Hi! I am hoping for some help. Yesterday, my battery went from 44% to dead in just a few minutes. I put it on the charger overnight and it didn't charge- I had cleaned both the charger and the Fitbit but still nothing.

Today I plugged the charger into a new USB port, and left it plugged in for 4 hours and it charged up!

But I was just woken from a deep sleep (less than 2 hours after I charged it) because my Fitbit started vibrating violently- and it vibrated itself down to 0% battery. I was able to get enough of a charge on it to reboot but I'm worried that won't work either (it's still charging).

Help, please?

Hello @Suzannemh. Welcome to the community forums.

I'm sorry for the experience and thank you for the detailed information and for the steps you've tried prior to posting. At this time, I'd recommend performing a long restart to your Charge 3 by following the steps below:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable.
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

After completing the long restart, I'd recommend waiting for your Charge 3 to fully charge and make sure to keep an eye on the behavior. If the inconvenience persists, please contact our Support Team for further assistance. Note that you can contact them through chat or over the phone, but phone wait times have been longer than normal, so I recommend initiating a chat. Click here to get connected.

Hope this helps.
