My Charge 3 is a year and a half. It is loosing time, and won't sync with my Samsung Galaxy phone. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I have rebooted. I have watched videos to try to fix this problem. Nothing seems to work. Can this be repaired?

Hi @LiliyaFitbit and @jamasch

Hope my finding would help you

I have the similar issue.

The Charge 3 stopped syncing after 25/07 and started loosing time over night.

To make it synced I need either:

1. Push my heart rate 10+ above rest rate for 5-10 mins (walking usually works) - it starts syncing until rate drops down.

2. Take it off my wrist for 2-3 mins - it will start syncing but as soon as pulse detected -it stops immediately to sync.

So I suspect something in logic stops Charge and App (android) syncing when heart rate near rest - it decides it is sleep time and no disturb required

Loosing time - previously when I have had issue with phone (5 days no sync) time was not lost even for one second... but from 25/07 - loosing 20-25 mins overnight...

Hope that helps.

This is no help at all. My Charge3 will not pair with my phone and is still
losing time. This is very frustrating. I need help getting it to work.

hi @LiliyaFitbit

Thank you for pointing to article.

Yes, I have followed steps provided few times and have already alternated next:

1. Latest Fitbit apps is a bit not stable and I have downgraded Apps version to 3.4.2 (20213455) - it works longer as soon as connection established also has All-Day Sync and Always connected options available.

2. performed "hardware" fitbit reboot (long press when charger is connected)

Based on my case Fitbit was working fine till 25/07, to be correct I have noticed 25/07 due to alarm was late and I have missed appointment. Previous Sat 18/07 I have had no issue, so the trouble became between 19/07 and 25/07.

I have had no any "infrastructure" change - ie same phones, same BT devices around, same battery charging and so on.

As I have mentioned before I found strong correlation between pulse registration and synchronisation.

no pulse - no issues with sync and not loosing time (even not synced)

as soon as pulse 10+ above rest rate (today it is 63 so I need to keep it above 74 to get FC3 synced IF I want it synced while on wrist.

PS

FitBit Firmware version 28.20001.63.5

Hi @LiliyaFitbit

The continue and end of saga...

I went to shop from I get my Fitbit Charge 3 and they replaced it with Charge 4 with a little additional cost.

But Charge 4 does not works with Android 6 (My HTC U Play does not support higher...), so next day I returned Charge 4 back and got refund.

So, no more Fitbit for me.

May be will check second market for other FC3 if any available.

Or consider other devices...
