Charge 3 not counting steps

For the last couple of weeks my Fitbit is not counting all the steps I do each day. I have to swing my arms dramatically to get it to register steps and most of the time it appears I walk on air!

i have rebooted numerous times, turned the Fitbit off, changed the clock face and still no resolution!!

now what?

... and when you’ve done 19,976 steps, and it won’t log those last 50 (I kid not!) that’s quite frustrating.
