I have done everything noted and I still am not getting notifications on my Fitbit. I do not always carry my phone and this is a big assist. What is to be done about this?

Hi there @JariJean, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for troubleshooting the notifications on your Charge 3 prior to contacting us.
As @SunsetRunner suggested, please make sure that your Fitbit app is updated to latest version. If you recently updated to iOS 13, you may have to adjust some settings on your iPhone or iPad. For more information, see: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device?
Give this a go and let us know the outcome.

The entire confusion could've easily been avoided by FitBit help.
Here goes:
The settings for notifications are clear enough HOWEVER these settings need to be applied to NON-Fitbit apps in addition to FitBit. That's not a typical scenario.
1- So, under iPhone settings, Notifications, FitBit - do as all the instructions say: check Notification Center, (sounds badges as per your liking so long as the Notification Center is on)
2- Now here is the deal. Do Notifications settings, Notification Center for ALL the NON-Fitbit Apps you want to RECEIVE on your FitBit: Messages, Mail, Calendar, Gmail - check on settings, Notifications, Notification Center

Has anything been done to correct the issue with no notifications in the charge 3. It has been over a month when I look for new info same old crap is still being posted. I’ve done everything that has been asked and I’m feeling ripped off because I’m not able to use all my features I could wear a plain old watch instead of paying all this money for this one. I love it but I want to use all the features!!

I had the same issues, which is why I posted the distinctions in settings. It's really easy to miss and confuse a setting with another. Read each detail carefully. It's not that straightforward. I almost gave up until I realized there are several places for these settings. Mine is working fine, almost too fine, I get emails, calendar, texts, phone calls. My issue with the phone calls is that I get an alert when I make a call as well.
They need to have the option to do all of this within the Charge 3 setup.

Do you get phone calls, mail, or calendar notices or is this only a text message issue.
If none of the above then you have a setup issue that’s beyond the descriptions you offered.
If it is only the text: verify on the iPhone-> settings-> messages that iMessage is checked and that only your phone number is used for send & receive. Then also check that send as SMS is also turned on..
also on iPhone - under notifications -messages- make sure that a sound is picked for messages, and that “lock screen” and “notification center” are checked, and of course, allow notifications on.
Also on iPhone under notifications - Fitbit - allow notifications and Notification Center, sounds and badges. Check to show preview, not subject
On your physical watch: do a medium-long press and make sure notifications is turned on. It is the screen with only that and screen wake option.
On Fitbit App under accounts: under privacy and security make sure messages is on, while this really applies to the Fitbit app messages, we are dealing with a software glitch so turn that on just in case. I also have all-day sync turned on as well.
As with any tech gadget restarting all devices is important so the proms (chips) get flushed and rewritten.

One of the trouble shooting steps for this problem is to tap the i next to the fitbit device in the bluetooth settings. Problem is, whenever I go to the bluetooth settings on my iPhone, it shows the fitbit device connected (a charge 3) but there is no i next to the device. There are other bluetooth devices connected that do show the i. Is there some trick to getting the i to appear for the charge 3?
