Charge 3 not syncing and displaying wrong time

I've had this Charge 3 for not quite a year now (Christmas present).  For about 2 weeks or so now the Charge 3 would randomly display the wrong time.  I would restart the watch itself and it would fix itself.  For the past day or so now though the problem has gotten worse.  Now it won't sync with anything at all.  Here the steps I've taken:

  • Restarted Charge 3 many many times, both on and off of the charging cable.
  • Restarted phone (Google Pixel 4, running Android 11)
  • Force stopped and restarted Fitbit app.
  • Uninstalled and reinstalled Fitbit app.
  • Made sure that no other bluetooth devices are in use.
  • Tested Bluetooth settings on phone (other devices work just fine)
  • Removed Charge 3 from Bluetooth settings (i.e. had the phone "forget" it).
  • Set up current Charge 3 as a replacement on the app.
  • Cleared data via the Settings on the Charge 3.
  • Tried syncing to Charge 3 from another device (Google Chromebook).  I should note, that I had NOT installed Fitbit on this device before, so there were no other Fitbit devices beforehand anywhere.

None of these steps have worked.  The watch will not sync with my phone nor my Chromebook.

Same problem.  I've done all those things numerous times. It syncs when I first set it up again once and then goes right back to sync failed
