Charge 3 not tracking sleep score

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

On some days my charge 3 shows “sleeping scores”(sleep stages, minutes of deep sleep, etc.), some days there’re only “sleep data”(minutes of sleeping, how many times I woke up, etc.)

this is really annoying. How to I get my more detailed sleeping score each morning? Thanks

Mine does the exact same thing. I've had the Charge 3 for two months, always wear it to sleep and I've only gotten 3 sleep scores. I've tried tightening the band and that doesn't seem to matter. Someone said if you sleep in an odd position, it won't register?? I haven't found any good reason why it works for some people and not others! So frustrating.

Hey @Johan33. As @SunsetRunner mentioned, you won't get a sleep score if the CH3 is getting good consistent HR readings while you sleep.  Mine usually works fine, but I've had two simplified records in the past couple of weeks.  You can try tightening or loosing the band (too tight won't work, and too loose won't work either).  But it is also possible that you sleep on your arm in a way the reduces blood flow to your wrist.

Some things to try.

-make sure HR is turned on in settings (don't ask how I know!)

-wipe off the sensors on the back

- reboot it (swipe right to settings, scroll down to "About"; tap 'reboot device' tap the checkmark

-try wearing it on the other arm when you go to bed.

Hope this helps.  Let us know.

Hi there @Johan33 and @SunsetRunner, welcome to the Community Forums.

As my friend @Baltoscott said and recommended, keep in mind that you must see sleep stages in order to see your sleep score information. Please swipe left on the Sleep Score graph, here you can see information about your weekly sleep average and sleep duration. To get more detailed information, see: What's sleep score in the Fitbit app?

Note that we are aware of Sleep Score may take longer than usual to appear in the app. We’re currently working to resolve it and hope to have a fix soon. Be sure to keep your Fitbit device and app up-to-date to ensure you receive the quickest resolution.

If you are not receiving sleep stages, I recommend considering the following:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed). For more information on automatic sleep tracking, see How do I track my sleep?
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

I hope this helps, give this a go and let me know if next time your Charge 3 provides you with your sleep data. 😀
