Charge 3 not vibrating with notifications

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I recently bought a Charge 3 because I can’t hear or feel my iPhone notifications. The vibration on the Charge 3 is OK on silent alarms especially because it continues until you stop it. The message notifications on the other hand are little more than a single, rather feeble tremor which is very easy to miss. I notice that this topic has been bouncing around for a long time with nothing being done by Fitbit to solve the issue. Can anyone recommend a Fitbit watch that has a decent vibration, or should I move to another supplier?

Hi there @walk-or-die, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided about your notifications not vibrating in your Charge 3, I'll be glad to help you.

While reading your post I was wondering if you've adjusted the vibration settings on your tracker to strong vibration? Note that Charge 3 includes two different vibration adjustments "normal and strong". 🙂

If so, I'd recommend trying the steps below:

1. Remove the old device from the Bluetooth settings.

2. Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use.

3. Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.

4. Setup your notifications on Charge 3.

If the issue persists, I'd recommend setting up your notifications again:

  • Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device.
  • Open the Fitbit app
  • Tap on Account > Charge 3 > Notifications
  • When a pop-up with a "Bluetooth Pairing Required" message, tap on Set Up and continue.
  • A new "Bluetooth Pairing Request" will appear, tap on Pair to continue
  • Once in the Notifications menu, enable the ones you'd like to receive.
  • Go to your phone Settings > Notifications > Fitbit and make sure all the options are enable to receive notifications.

Let me know how it goes, I'll be around.

Thanks for answering, but I do have the vibration set to strong. I have no
problem with the silent alarms because they are strong and continue until
cancelled, the notifications on the other hand are too short and if I
receive a text whilst walking then I don’t feel it. I wonder why the
notifications don’t persist until cancelled or at least vibrate for a
couple of seconds. Thanks anyway.
