Charge 3 not vibrating

Aah. The strap on my Charge 3 broke last week and I replaced it with the other one it came with. Since then I don’t get vibration notifications for calls, messages, steps etc. I’ve tried following the steps for a reset but it doesn’t seem to be doing it. I get the smiley face then it just goes to normal. What am I doing wrong? X

Hi there @Lindyloo123, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 3 stopped vibrating when a notifications comes through since you changed the wristband, I understand how you must be feeling about this. I'll be glad to help you.

 

Have you checked if your Charge 3 does vibrate with silent alarms? Your Fitbit device vibrates to alert you at various times, including if you set an alarm, when you hit your step goal, or if you haven’t met your hourly activity goal. Have you see if the vibration is also missing for this features?

 

If your device didn't alert you, make sure you successfully set an alarm. For more information, see How do I manage alarms on my Fitbit device?

 

If you correctly set the alarm or aren’t receiving other alerts, test your device’s vibration motor. Connect the device to the charging cable. For more information, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?

 

Also note that when you turn on the Do Not Disturb, Quiet hours, or Driving mode setting on your phone Fitbit Charge 3 receive notifications, but your device won’t alert you. Swipe down to see your notifications.

Hi Maria,

 

Thanks for your reply. It vibrates if I set an alarm, press the side button or plug it in to charge. It doesn’t vibrate for calls, WhatsApp messages or reaching step goals even though they are all set correctly. Messages coming through from WhatsApp are also intermittent and not all received. 

I tried to reset the tracker but I couldn’t get it to restart, it just gave me the smiley face screen and didn’t do the 7 vibrations. Not sure what else to try.
