So far I have accidentally paused a workout on accident every single time, not realizing it until half way through my workout. With the pause capability tied to the pressure touch button. Anything brushing up against the watch pauses it like boxing gloves or your own body and ending the workout is far more difficult than it should be.
Change the pause function to require you to hold the pressure button for 3 seconds, have the end workout option appear here.

It's great to see you here @maxxx77.
I know that it would be great to have an option to lock the tracker while exercising to avoid this type of inconveniences. Unfortunately, our team do not currently have plans to release this feature. Keep in mind that you can always manually edit your exercise information.
Let me know if you need anything else.

Why aren't there any plans for it? It's more than normal / fair it would have such feature. It shouldn't be that hard to implement it.

agree. its a fitness tracker. these kinds of things are supposed to be a priority.
thanks for responding to my post with an actual answer. even if it's not one we want to hear. other threads seem to be completely ignored by FitBit personnel

As other users. Today was my first day with Charge 3 it's really annoying to find that the workout paused. I think my gloves trigger that. This kind of behavior never happened with Charge 2 HR.

Is there any way to disable pause? Cause it seams mine is pausing on its own.

Same! The pause by accident completely screwed my all day hike tracking, which is bad for my training and LITERALY what I wanted this Fitbit for!!!
you seriously need to implement a solution as described above - make it harder to pause!! At least confirm the pause!! I lost HALF of an 8 hour hike from the activity. USELESS

**ahem** it I might send this Fitbit back, as you say you don’t care about this issue

I'm on board with a fix too. IsIt nonsense that something as simple as bending my wrist for a plank or push-up screws up my entire workout . I've started turning my tracker around so it's on the inside of my wrist instead of outside and that's slightly better but still not a fully functional fix. How can you have such a basic flaw in design and not plan to fix it?!

This really needs to be fixed! I am starting to lose my patience with my Charge 3.

Just adding to this thread to hope gain additional traction for a fix for this issue. I engage in a variety of workouts, and the charge 3 pauses during workout about 50% of the time for me. It shouldn't be so easy to pause accidentally during a workout. A fix, such as a 3 second hold to pause would be much appreciated. I wouldn't recommend this product for this reason alone. Otherwise, it's been great. It's a shame such a small feature affects such a bug purpose behind using this product.

Same here! You really need to fix this. It has never worked for me and I run every day. I think for me it pauses the workout when I check the distance I have run. So usually I get a beep at half a mile and then it stops logging it.
Please please please fix this. I am very unhappy with my Fitbit for this reason

I was about to create a new post and came across this one. Reading the inacceptable reply from the moderator above, I'm thinking, fixing this issue is not in their agenda at all...I was trying to see if the latest firmware update has resolved this issue or not...but bugger, I cant update the tracker after attempting several times....this one is a total mess...i would rather return this and get my money back. Not at all happy with the product.

Yeah this is a pretty annoying aspect of the fitbit. I am training for a half and I keep having to unpause my run. I intend to run 5 miles but because the tracker kept pausing randomly I probably ran 7. Its basically useless to use this feature and my phones tracking app is much more reliable.

On this issue alone, unless fixed, it will be my first and last fitbit product.

Does anyone have any experience with the use of a protective case or similar for this tracker? I'm having the same issues particularly in cooler months with long sleeves. Just wondering whether a side bumper case or something would help?
