Has anyone else received an email from fitbit customer support advising of a hardware issue on their charge 3? They have offered a replacement but I'm not entirely sure if it's a scam or not.

I've never before heard of customer support contacting a customer and never known them offer a replacement without going through troubleshooting steps first.
I would be wary and contact customer support yourself via the official contact page at contact.fitbit.com
If it is a scam they need to know about it.
