Charge 3 replacements

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My husband bought me a Charge 3 in April. I have now been back to Curry’s for the 4th time to get a new one. To their credit they have handed each one over with no fuss but has anyone else had so many die on them?

Hi there @Whitley5, welcome to the Community Forums. I am sorry to hear that you went through that situation with your Fitbits.

In regards to my experience, I have the Ionic and Charge 3 and both of them have been working as expected.

Please note that our main purpose is to avoid negative experiences to our customers, we're always willing to help and provide troubleshooting steps. Then, if the tracker is deemed defective we review eligibility using the one year warranty option.

Additionally, our products are indeed designed and made to last (this goes for each product component) however, there is not an infallible way to ensure that no issues will be present in the long run. Because of this, our Warranty Policy is set into providing as much coverage as we can.

Additionally to this, I'd like to add that the warranty in most of the regions is only for 365 days. (In Europe due to the law, is extended for 2 years). This means that your tracker will be covered for a full year and during this period of time you can receive any replacement in case of a defect. But this warranty does not apply to that new tracker extending the time. The period of warranty would be only applicable on your original purchase until the 365 days have expired.

Also, if you received a replacement within the warranty (365 days) it does not mean it won't be valid after this. So, if your tracker fails again and your tracker is still between the time of the original warranty, you might be eligible for a replacement based on the resolution of our Support Team, this applies until the stipulated time of the warranty had expired.

If there's something else you'd like me to assist you with, let me know.

Thank you, If it fails again I might have to consider moving to Garmin as
you have pointed out that I only have a year's warranty on the original
tracker,, ie from April. So if the new tracker (which has had to be
ordered so I will have had a week without anything again) fails, say in
May, then although it will only be a few months old I wouldn't be able to
get a new one.

Update on the Charge 3 problem.  I am now on my 6th since April, the Manager at Curry's thought it was me and tried to get it working himself.  Fail.  I have taken out a 3 year warranty and it's become intriguing to see how many I get through.
