Charge 3 screen dimmed and now almost impossible to read

Hi all,

 

I have had a Charge 3 for some time ant it had been working just fine until a few months ago, when the screen started to dim regardless of the Brightness option I chose. Now it is dim to the point that I can't see my screen when outside, and some bits of the screen that are completely black. I have to even use my phone to check the time!
 
I know lots of people have complained about this issue with the Charge 3, and I have tried all solutions suggested in the forum (basically a restart of the device) but unfortunately they haven't helped.
 
I emailed Fitbit support and all they suggested was (again) restarting despite the fact I made clear I had already tried that! They have ignored my follow-up emails.
 
This is very frustrating as I have been a Fitbit user for more than 10 years... I would appreciate any suggestions to solve this issue if possible.

My fitbit charge 3 idem ditto .... its a embarrassing condition that Fitbit does not respond to our complaint.  My Fitbit only gives a black screen, nothing to see, tried everything, nothing, I'm furious

I'm going to tap mine with a 4 pound hammer. Can't see a damm thing even in a darkened room.

I'm having the same problem. For a while I could only see the center column on the screen, now nothing. I can't try the fix others suggested because I can't see anything on the screen to tap. Very frustrating and apparently, it's not worth even contacting Fitbit as they aren't doing anything about it.

Just adding my voice to the long list of disgruntled users. I have had my Charge 3 for a long time screen has been fading for several weeks it's now invisible even in a totally dark room. I have tried the suggestions listed on here but with no screen visibility all I can do is try restart. It would seem fitbit are not interested, I will not buy another one. This is my second my wife in on her 3rd, I will look for another make now.
