I am on my 3rd Charge3 screen, the first two having developed faults within the warranty period and were replaced. Now both mine and my husband's screens have become so faint that they are unreadable in darkness let alone daylight. I have followed all the advice re restarting etc and it makes absolutely no difference. We have now returned to our old Charge 2s which, although battered, still perform satisfactorily. Now sourcing a replacement tracker that is fit for purpose.

Since you said "I have followed all the advice re restarting etc and it makes absolutely no difference. ", maybe you are not interested in any other suggestions, but just making a statement.
But, if you are still open to suggestions, make sure you are not in Sleep Mode, which intentionally keeps the screen dim.

No it's not in sleep mode. Whichever brightness setting is selected makes no difference either.

I have given up - screen is now completely black. Charging, resetting etc makes no difference. I've reverted to my Charge2 which gives a clear display even in the brightest sunlight. Charge3 is going in the bin.
