Check you are not in Sleep Mode.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Hi there @JackB89, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 3's screen has gone dim, I understand where your concern is coming from. I'll be glad to help you.

As @JohnnyRow's stated, have you checked if by any chance your tracker are set in Sleep Mode? When the sleep mode setting is on:

  • Notifications don't cause the tracker to vibrate or the screen to turn on.
  • The screen's brightness is set to dim.
  • Turning your wrist won't cause the tracker’s screen to turn on.

Sleep mode doesn't automatically turn off unless you set a sleep mode schedule. To schedule sleep mode to automatically turn on during certain hours:

  1. Open the Settings app and tap Sleep Mode.
  2. Tap Schedule to turn it on.
  3. Tap Sleep Interval and set your sleep mode schedule. Sleep mode automatically turns off at the time you schedule, even if you manually turned it on.

You can't turn on do not disturb and sleep mode at the same time.

If the settings are fine, please try the suggestions below:

  1. Check in the Fitbit app if your Charge 3 is still syncing, if so, try changing the clock face to a different one by following these steps : How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?. The steps are done through the Fitbit app, do not worry if you cannot see anything on the screen for this process.
  2. Restart your Charge 3 by following the steps from this help article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

We're looking to hearing from you soon, let us know the outcome.

I restarted my Charge 3 and the screen stayed dark. I can barely read the clock face but nothing else. I did manage to scroll to settings and turned the brightness to "auto" which allows me to see all screens and the clock face fine. I have turned off sleep mode, I was not using it. However the screen only lights up now when I push the side button. Tapping the face does nothing; screen stays dark.

Started a few days ago- all of a sudden my Fitbit screen is fuzzy. Cannot read anything - tried the reboot and it worked for about 15 mins and then back to gray screen - reminds me of the dreaded BSOD
