Hi.
I have had my Fitbit for a while now and a few months ago I woke up to find lines white vertical lines on the screen. I thought I might have just hit it on my bedside table as I slept so I went on and didn’t worry too much about it. After a little research on here though, I discovered that I wasn’t the only one with the white lines which I thought had been from impact. In fact, several other people were having these problems! Naturally, I tried what your company people had suggested: change the clock face, restart it, update it. I have tried to do each and every one of these multiple times. My Fitbit will not even complete the update. I could still read it okay and as long as it didn’t get worse I figured I wouldn’t worry too much about it. Sadly, however, that wasn’t the end of this devices problems. Now my Fitbit has been dead the last few days but I charged it up last night and it was working to it’s usual standards: a few glitches, and white lines. Late last night I noticed my Fitbit vibrating at an unusual hour and look at it to find a black screen. I clicked the side and it would flash a white at me and then go black again. I tried multiple times to get it to turn on each time resulting in a white flash coming from the left side (not the whole screen was illuminated). Being that it was late, I waited until this morning to try and fix it. I have researched on here how to fix it and tried the hard reset suggested by many of your Fitbit company employees (hold for 15 seconds while it’s on the charger, it’ll buzz 7 times, take it off the charger, put it back on and a smile will appear, then you should be good to go). This did not work. In fact, it made the problems worse! Immediately after restarting the screen had the vertical lines like usual but also a horizontal line across the top. When I tried to swipe to the next screen, it wouldn’t let me, then suddenly inverted its colors and wouldn’t let me click on anything. Then it buzzed and shut the face off again. This was while it was on the charger. Now not only does it not turn on it vibrates constantly and inconsistently. It will vibrate several times (more than 3) in a second pause for maybe a second two if I’m lucky then buzz some more. It is extremely frustrating. I have tried the reset multiple times after but it isn’t working and wasn’t easy to achieve the first time either. It is near fully charged as I just had it charging for the last hour and a half and it still syncs to my phone. As I wrote this, oddly enough once it finally stopped vibrating insanely the screen came back on (with the white lines). It let me swipe once to the left but is now stuck on that screen vibrating sporadically. It will not respond to my clicks on the side which should return it to the Home Screen instead just vibrating upon click. I am more than frustrated. I want a device that works properly without a planned-obsolescence date. (Further more, the screen has now once again gone gray where it appears to want to light up but displaces nothing, and the furious vibrating is back.) I want to back roll whatever update it has on it so that it starts working again because the more I look at these problems the more I realize it is not a mechanical problem instead it is a programming problem. And if that doesn’t work I want a new device without the defects that everyone seems to be having with your products.
Thanks!
