Charge 3 screen too dim

My Charge 3 screen is excessively dim, even with a full charge.  I've tried restarting it with no result. It will occasionally come on bright but after a few seconds it's dim again and I can't get it back. This is indoors and is still difficult to read. Outside with any amount of sunlight, it's impossible to read.

Per FITBIT chat today.  Jed: As of the moment, we don't have any news yet about improving the brightness that is already set up for the Fitbit. If there is, we'll release it through an update.

Since installing the latest update a couple of weeks ago my screen keeps going dark. Have checked settings and ok. Keep having to reset. Never had this problem before the update.  Come on Fitbit please sort this out.

I don't understand why some people say they corrected their problem by going to settings and selecting "bright" but the only choices I see are auto and normal.

The people posting about the “bright feature” are probably NOT using the
Charge 3, which is what this long and ever-growing-topic-of-discontent is
all about.

Yes that’s all I have. My charge 3 clock face wasn’t a problem but update has made it one. I’m having to reset daily!!! 😖

Update:

Ok in the house but too dim outdoors. Not fit for purpose - telling the time !

I have limited vision and need the bright even indoors in order to read the screen. I didn't have a problem until the update when my screen suddenly dimmed.

I'm having to reboot mine daily at the moment.

For just a moment, mine gave me black text on a while background - do you know what? I could read it! This would solve the dimming issues.

But it's playing sillybuggers again and I'm trying to reboot again.

A lot of us only have normal and auto ! It really isn't good enough. Wonder if it’s a ploy to get us to upgrade. I’d buy something other than Fitbit. They’re not cheap and noticed last night not counting all my steps. !!!

Had a problem with dim display about 6 months ago. After multiple calls, and even researching and sending complaints To the engineering manager, and multiple useless attempts to fix their software/firmware problem they replaced the unit. It was less than a year old. Now 6 months later the replacement unit is starting to go dim. They rolled out new firmware which I installed yesterday, and of course NO EFFING BETTER - what a **ahem**.

I can’t see settings on my Fitbit. Too dim to even adjust brightness because can’t tell when I am on brightness!
