My Charge 3 screen is excessively dim, even with a full charge. I've tried restarting it with no result. It will occasionally come on bright but after a few seconds it's dim again and I can't get it back. This is indoors and is still difficult to read. Outside with any amount of sunlight, it's impossible to read.

I have the same issues as everyone else with the dim display. I have tried everything listed to try to solve this issue with the charge 3. At this point I will not be purchasing another Fitbit product after this being my second one. the charge 2 was my first with a charging issue. I want to thank Fitbit for the great firmware update.

Best AnswerMy Charge 3 is so dim now that I can't even see it indoors. Therefore, I cannot get to the brightness option in Settings.
I'm afraid I will have to just get another tracker because the brightness was always bad, but this new turn of events is ludicrous.
Best AnswerAdd yet another Charge 3 with a display that is so dim, that unless I cup my hand around in, while indoors I can't see anything.
This is after I started seeing blank horizontal lines going across the face, and I wouldn't let my fitbit get ANYWHERE near water. (even though it's suppose to be ok in light water)
I happen to then go look at the Charge 4, and it looks like that has a whole host of issues too... From not charging to not tracking sleep patterns.
Fitbit really needs to step up their Quality Control.
Essentially if you're in warranty; you'll be ok. if you're not you're out of luck and will need to shell out another $100+ for a new device 😞
Last time I checked watches aren't disposable. and fitness trackers such as these I would place in a similar category.
So sad the direction fitbit has been going lately 😞

You can change the screen by going to settings and swipe to the brightness control. It worked for me.
--------------------------
Have you tried going into settings and swiping until you find the bright and dim choice. I changed mine, and have had no more problems.
Best AnswerThis site isn't the easiest to navigate, but if you peruse the nearly 400 comments about this problem, you'll see the majority of owners tried to adjust settings a long time a go. It may work for a time. Eventually for the majority, the entire Fitbit is so dim, it's entirely unusable, much less setting-accessible. That may or may not happen to yours. Hope not!
Best AnswerYeah really not much you can do.... if its so dim, most likely its set to auto or bright and really...even changing it won't make much of a difference 😞
As said above.. it might make a different for a short time and then eventually it will get like this. It tracks fine, just useless to actually look at to see how many steps I've taken, or what time it is.
If to look really closely at the one with the light on you can BARELY make out part of the display from the shadow of my phone taking the picture.
Here's what mine looks like now.

Best Answerwhy do you keep going back Paula? did something else fail on the first or second? Did it ever stop properly tracking anything?
