Charge 3 setup issues

I’m having big troubles with my device. Purchased around feb this year it developed an issue about 4 months ago. I had an iPhone XR and one day the device just stopped synching with it. I reset both the device and my phone as well as removing the app and all that did was cause my time on the charge 3 to slowly go out. I let it sit for a few months before I upgraded phones. Trying now with iPhone pro max and I can’t get my charge to even connect to this phone. It recognised it for a split second and now it won’t even go through the set up. I log into my account via the app and try to set up the device as new (as I removed it previously) and it won’t recognise the Bluetooth for me to go any further.

 

i have reset the bluetooth

turned my phone on and off repeatedly

wiped my fitbit

updated the app

restored the fitbit

and tried every troubleshooting method mentioned in the forums. 

any suggestions? I’ve completed all the steps to the generic response always given and got nowhere at all.

Hi, I’ve just done those. Didn’t make any difference unfortunately. I still can’t get it to connect at all.
