I've had a Charge 3 for a few months and have noticed that the edges around the face are raised a bit and sharp enough to be snagging sheets, clothes, jackets, etc. When I reached out to Fitbit help about this, I was told this is the first they've heard of this issue but weren't willing to do anything about it, under warranty or otherwise, other than suggest I post about it. Has anyone else had this issue? Seems like a pretty big design flaw.

Hey @Jaydee83, a warm welcome to the Community.
It's weird to hear that your tracker is in this conditions. How did your tracker got this damage? Can you provide me with a photo of this? In the meantime, check our warranty policy.
I hope to hear from you soon.

Yes the edges feel sharp, as in on the corners but I have never had any issues with it.
Are you saying you are actually getting it caught on items or just assuming it MIGHT?

I've had it actually catch on and snag a number if things including sheets, blankets, shirts and jackets. The corners on the clock face seem to be the issue.

Thanks for your reply. The tracker isn't damaged, it seems to be the design where the edges/corners on the clock face are raised and sharp which causes them to catch on things. When I inquired with a rep ar Fitbit about this, I was told it's not a known issue, that it's not covered under warranty and that all I could do is post about it... I'm hoping they were wrong because that seems like terrible service. I'll look forward to hearing back from you on this! Thanks

I have the same issue and after using my Charge 3 for a couple months the corners are actually starting to show signs of wear from rubbing across things. I had to stop wearing my fitbit when playing basketball at the park because I already scratched somebody, so now I do not get credit for this exercise. It is completely unacceptable that a company as big as fitbit would release this item with an obvious design flaw and not pilot it first.

Thanks for posting @Corbata69, I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one with this issue. I agree with you about the design flaw and think it's unfortunate that Fitbit isn't willing to do anything about this. I've had to start taking my tracker off at bed and also when playing with my kids as I've had the same issue with it scratching them.

Yeah, I'm having the exact same problem after a month or so of use. Has anyone managed to get this resolved yet?

I’m still stuck with the sharp edges. My 6 y/o son woke me up last week wanting to wrestle and got a nice scratch across his arm from my watch. I’m really regretting buying this model.

I also scratched myself 2x during sleeping time. 1st time is the long scratch. 2nd is the smaller wound at the bottom. I had fitbit for 6mths... Only happen recently 2x in a week

I can feel sharp edges when swiping the screen. Its only up and down in my case and so it seems to be the edges of the band. Im going to remove the band and do some very light sanding.

I have also been having issues with sharp edges. I hadn't really noticed it until I saw little scratches on my baby's leg from where the watch touches when I carry her. It is useless to me if I have to take it off every time I pick up my daughter. Maybe I will have to look into a Garmin.

I’ve had mine since Christmas but just started noticing it recently. It’s snagging my clothing and my bed sheets all night waking me up! Odd, but it seemed to have started after I removed and cleaned the straps.

Mine also has sharp edges along the sides and even more so where the corners are! I love it in every other way but the sharp edges are definitely a design flaw!!

UPDATE!!!
Thanks for the advice!! Great idea!! I just sanded the edges down with an Emory board and so far it feels much better!! I will try it out for a bit and sand it down a little more if needed!!

Same here. Fuzz, my hair, etc...get snagged.

Mine has a sharp edge too and scratched me 3x plus my baby daughter’s thighs. 😔

I’m also having issues with sharp corners, I find myself scratching others more than myself. I bought slip on screen protectors on Amazon and the plastic edges on that aren’t significantly better. I really like this device but might have to stop wearing it.
