Charge 3 showing error 001

So my dad was complaining that the heart rate monitor wasn’t working and then all of a sudden the Fitbit logo popped up with a 001. This is a Fitbit Charge 3. I tried charging it and the screen does not Change.

Hi there. The Beste Answer also does not work for my Charge 3's Logo 001 error. After the restart the smily shows, goes black and it goes back to the logo 001 again. Does not come out of it.

Please help.

Get ahold of Fitbit. They replaced mine.

I contacted Fitbit & they replaced it.

I had good luck with this method the first time it appeared.

When it returned with a couple other issues, I was unable to get the fitbit to work again. 

I let the fitbit die and continued to wear it and try the button for 3 or 4 days. Then when I charged it to 100%, I haven't had any issues since!

These steps didn't work. I probably need a new one... again. I am already on my second Fitbit Charge 3 in 2 years, basically the same thing happened to the last one a year ago. These devices seem to last about 1 year in my experience and then its time for a new one. way too expensive to have to replace them every year.

Yep! I am having the same issue and I am already on my 2nd device after I had to have the last 1 replaced a year ago. Low quality product it seems. I never even let mine get wet.

So far just once for me, but I have been looking at other ones, so if it happens again I will just get something different. Hopefully it is just this model, as I do like the Fitbit.

followed  all the instruction ....but it keeps on vibrating with error 001 and goes off.smile face comes and goes black again.This process continues..what can i do?

I have the same issue as everybody I think. A week ago, I charged my Fitbit charge 3 because the battery was low and since then I had either the smiley face or the 001 code. I tried restarting it several time, I let the battery died and charged it again but nothing works. I don't know what to do next 😕 Can anybody help me ?

If it is under a year old, they will probably replace it for you. If it is over a year old you are SOL. Buy a new one or change companies and buy something differentSent via the Samsung Galaxy S7, an AT&T 4G LTE smartphone

When you say that it won't turn on at all, do you mean the screen, but pressing the "button" causes a vibration? Or do you mean the fitbit does not respond in any way? 

Occasionally, my screen will be blank for an hour or two but it will still be on. Eventually it starts working again.
