Hello,
Some three years ago I was diagnosed with mild sleep apnea and the doctor decided to treat me by using a mouth appliance (resmed Narval CC). All this time we had no idea if the device was effective at all. The only way was to do a sleep study using the device. I was super happy when my Charge 3 finally supported spo2 saturation. All this time the app has reported values within the range, not even a single high variations. I though my sleep apnea treatment was working. On the 2nd of October I finally managed to convince my doctor to perform a sleep study while keeping the mouth appliance. To my shocking surprise the doctor called back saying that not only the treatment is not working but my apnea index which before was 8 now had gone up to 11. I had several events when I had totally stopped breathing for over 20 seconds.
These are the recordings of my Charge 3 for that night:
To others like me who also have sleep apnea and fully rely on spo2 saturation info from these devices, please keep in mind the accuracy of the information and do the right thing get the proper sleep test.
