A warm welcome to the Community @GM78.

If your Charge 3 isn't registering your sleep, I recommend trying the following:

  1. Manually sync the tracker. See instructions in How do Fitbit devices sync their data?
  2. Restart the tracker. See instructions in How do I restart my Fitbit device?
  3. Try sleeping with the tracker on your non-dominant hand.
  4. If steps 1-3 don't work, I suggest manually logging your sleep to reflect the time slept. See instructions in How do I change my sleep history?

Let me know the outcome. Smiley Happy

This happened to my Charge 3. For the last two nights my sleep tracking did not display on the app or on the Fitbit.

I tried rebooting the Fitbit manually through the settings on the watch, as well doing a hard reset by holding the side button while charging. Still no sleep tracking!

But that’s when I noticed my app said the Fitbit had 90% power but the device had 75%. I figured it might have been a problem with the apps connection to the device.

I tried shutting off my Bluetooth and turning it back on. No results.

Then I deleted and reinstalled the Fitbit app. That seemed to make it work!! Hooray! Fixed! It also showed my sleep tracking from the past two days that I was missing.

This charge is not even 2 months old. Crazy I already had an issue.

Same thing happened to me! My Fitbit Charge 3 is older, I've had it for 1.5 years. It had been properly recording sleep until 2 nights ago. Now I get only basic sleep data, along with the message "your tracker couldn't get a consistent heart-rate reading while you slept"

I have not changed anything. I am wearing the fitbit the same way I had been wearing since I got it. (non dominant arm). Yesterday (after 1 failed night), I rebooted and resynched and charged to 100% just before bedtime... but it still doesn't work

Mine is exactly the same. I’d like to know also, what to do about this issue. I look forward to seeing the response you get as hopefully it will also fix mine too.

Only had the Charge 3 for a few weeks and sleep stages were tracked for the first 5 nights now only basic patterns! Device has ALWAYS displayed "sleep not tracked". Have been though multiple threads relating to this issue and nothing has worked. Also disappointed in their step algorithms as my work entails upper body movement while standing in one place and I can rack up 15000 steps during a work day which is probably 10000 more steps than I've taken. So very very disappointed in this product!

I have the same problem that my Charge 3 is not tracking sleep. Recently it was skipping the tracking on some nights. But it did not track my sleep for the last 3 nights consecutively.

I tried both the manual sync and reboot, I still didn’t see the missing sleep data. Please help. Thank you.

Manually log your sleep time??? Are you kidding? How will that give me a sleep score?

My sleep score hasn't recorded since October 19!! This is utterly ridiculous.

I have followed ALLLLL the steps, NOTHING works.

This is not a good response! So... if the Fitbit isn't working... just type in the info you want?? The entire point of tracking sleep is because We want to track our sleep. as in, we don't know how long we're sleeping, how well, how much we move, wake up, etc. Give some real advice and don't count this question as "answered" when "if you've done everything and it's still not working, just make something up" is absolutely not an answer.

Hello everyone. @TARCason Welcome to the community forums.

I'm very sorry for the experience and thank you very much for the detailed information and for taking the time to share your feedback. If your Charge 3 isn't tracking your sleep, I'd recommend performing a restart by following the instructions here: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

In addition, please try to change the sleep sensitivity setting. For example, if your sleep is now set to "Normal", try to change it to "Sensitive" and test your Fitbit device. Take into consideration that normal mode can work well if you make significant movements like rolling over, your device records time spent awake. This setting is appropriate for most users. In sensitive mode, your device records nearly all movements as time spent restless or awake. This setting may be helpful if you wake up feeling tired even though your sleep history shows sufficient rest.

To change your sleep sensitivity setting:

  1. In the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab, then tap your profile picture.
  2. Tap Advanced Settings > Sleep Sensitivity and make your changes. (Note that these instructions can vary depending on your phone's model)

I also recommend visiting the following link for tips and suggestions about sleep: How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device?

Hope this helps.

My Fitbit charge 3 still not  picking up my sleep for 3 night. I had to put it in by hand. It didn't last week too. I thought I fix it. But I guess not. I have done the rest and I had it on the other arm and still nothing. But everything else seem to be working just fine. So now what.
