I went camping this past weekend so I made sure my charge 3 was fully charged before leaving. It was working perfectly fine and as normal prior to me going swimming in a river while wearing it. I definitely did not go anywhere near 50 meters underwater at any point but I noticed within 5 minutes of being in the water that my Fitbit had stopped working.
As soon as i got back to camp I removed the band and placed the bit in a mesh pocket in my tent in hopes of it drying out and returning to normal function. It didn't. I have tried to restart it, didn't work. There is visible condensation in the clear piece on the backside so I'm hesitant to plug it to my charger and I have had it in rice since I got home (that's done absolutely nothing...)
I rarely ever shower while wearing it because that's when I'll charge it instead. This is a real bummer with as much as I paid for it specifically because it is waterproof and has the hr monitor with slim watchface.
