Hi my charge just stopped working wen I plugged it in to charge, screen will only show dnd & sleep , vibrating all the time & has reverted to January 01 as date . Really don’t want to lose my data & love using this. I’ve tried turning on & off but no use. Please help!

Hi @Ailyb, welcome to our Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear that the screen of your Charge 3 only shows "dnd" and "sleep" and it shows the wrong date. I totally understand how you feel about this and I appreciate the time spent trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.

Please restart your Charge 3 as described in this help article. By doing this, your data won't be lost. After this, monitor your tracker during the next 24 hours and see if the screen issue gets fixed.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

Ever since charging my Fitbit earlier today, I'm experiencing the same problem with my Charge 3.  I've also updated the app (hoping that might help) and restarted my Charge 3 using the steps in the help article you suggested and my screen still continues to flip from the clock face to "DND" and "Sleep".  When it's not stuck on "DND" and "Sleep" it vibrates, then the screen goes blank and won't respond to tapping.

That’s exactly what happened mine but I’m afraid it’s not working at all now 😩 I can’t get it to work even though I’ve tried everything, so disappointed

Hi I’m sad to say I’ve tried everything but it’s not even turning on anymore, very disappointed but thanks for your help.

I am extremely disappointed in Fitbit. The issue is clearly due to the upgrade as a few people have logged the problem of the screen DND / Sleep and then the device dies.

A ploy to get people buy the Charge 4.

Fitbit has lost a customer and I'm sure many more to follow!

I have started to have this problem today too and restarting it both from the tracker itself and while charging did nothing. Really disappointed that it's not going away and finding it really annoying because it won't stop vibrating.

Hello! I'm having the same issue as everyone in this thread. What else can be done?

I've restarted it (per the thread), cleared all user data and restarted it... all with the same outcome. I get my clock face, then after pressing the button or on its own, it switches to a screen giving the option for DND, Sleep, and Screen Wake. Regardless of which I tap, select/unselect, or tap the button - it doesn't go "back" to clock face unless IT wants. This is maddening. Any help would be welcome!

Hello everyone. @jenazbananaz Welcome to the community forums.

I'm very sorry for the experience and thank you for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. At this time, I'd recommend performing a long restart to your Charge 3, a long restart is different than the basic restart and you can complete it by following the instructions below:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable.
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

If the inconvenience persists, I'd recommend reaching out to our Support Team for further assistance. You can get in touch with them through chat or over the phone, but phone wait times have been longer than normal. Click here to get connected.
