Charge 3 syncing, notifications and wallet issues

I got a new Charge 3. I followed all instructions on setting it up with my iPhone 8. It did it easily and all was good. Then I was on my iPad and open the Fitbit app to see if it showed in there. The information was not synced so I clicked sync when I did it paired my Fitbit to the iPad and now I can’t get it to fully pair back to my phone.

I can not pair All Day Sync

I can not get notifications

I had set up wallet and now I get an error in the app

I have done the following:

1. I tried just turning off Bluetooth on iPad and then opened iPhone but didn’t work.

2. Completing removed the Bluetooth pairing from the iPad. .. still didn’t work

3. Removed the app from the iPad then cleared All pairing data from the Fitbit Charge 3, then went back into the iPhone app and tried setting up and re pairing again.. still won’t.

4. I have removed the charge 3 from my phone app, restarted my phone, then proceeded to do set up again but it won’t fully pair. The All Day Sync will not work and I get an error message saying “Bluetooth pairing failed” Call Notifications and All Day Sync are disabled. Plus I got an error when I clicked the Wallet..

I have restarted the Charge 3, I have rebooted it and I have even cleared user data and nothing has worked to fix this problem. What do I do? Why isn't there a customer service phone number?

Accepted Solutions

I finally  before receiving your message found a phone number for Fitbit. There really should be a number listed at Fitbit.com for customer service.

Anyway I finally got the issue rectified between things I kept troubleshooting and then contacting support and he walked me through one last thing again that I had tried Before.

What I feel the SOLUTION was

Remove the Fitbit app from the iphone.

Then reinstall the app. Open sign in, then force close app.

NOW...

Go to your Bluetooth settings make sure Bluetooth is on

Click the little blue i on the Bluetooth charge 3 device and click FORGET THIS DEVICE.

BE SURE THE APP HAS NOT BEEN OPENED YET, If it has force close.

Now open the app and it should start to sync..  Click on the icon in upper right corner, scroll down to All day Sync and turn on it should say it needs to pair (yes like it always said every time before)

BUT then you get a pop up that wants you to pair.. YES!

i tried just doing the forget device Bluetooth connect without removing and reinstalling the app and it didn’t work but after I reinstalled and then did this it worked.

A warm welcome to the Community @SunsetRunner.

Thanks for troubleshooting these different issues you are experiencing with your Charge 3 before contacting us. I recommend taking a look at the following help articles and follow the instructions provided there:

Now regarding your inquiry about a phone number, from your Fitbit app do the following:

  1. Tap your image icon
  2. Swipe up
  3. Tap "Help"
  4. Tap Contact Customer Support

Let me know the outcome. Smiley Happy
