Hello @Parkie27, welcome to the community forums! Thank you for the information!

To further investigate, please let me know if this has happened before and if the number of steps are reflected on your Fitbit device or just on the Fitbit App after syncing.

In the meantime, I'd recommend trying to perform a restart to your Charge 3. For this, please follow the instructions below:

1. Press and hold the button on your tracker for 8 seconds. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.

On a side note, for wrist-based devices, it's important to specify whether you wear the device on your dominant or non-dominant wrist during setup:

  • The dominant wrist setting decreases the sensitivity of step counting and should reduce any over counting of steps when your body is not moving. Your dominant hand is the one you use for writing and eating.
  • The non-dominant wrist setting increases the sensitivity of step counting and should reduce any under counting of steps.

I look forward to your response.

Hello,

My Fitbit never used to do this and it is only for the last month with correct dominant wrist settings.

I have reset the Fitbit and unlinked it from the app but still no luck.

Anymore ideas?
