Charge 3 tracking stairs while sleeping

I just woke up and checked my app to see how much I slept last night and it’s showing I climbed 13 sets of stairs. This is pretty much impossible since I’ve been sleeping. Any ideas why this happened and how to fix it?

Its also showing a gap of awake time, but I know I only was awake at 4 am to go to the bathroom and went right back to sleep, it says I was awake from 254-415 which I was not. Do I need to reset it?

It's great to see you around @ectevis.

I appreciate the attachment. Regarding your stairs inquiry, I recommend taking a look at the help article Why does my Fitbit device count extra floors? and check the information provided there.

Now about your sleep, if it isn't being tracked correctly, try the following:

  1. Make sure to not take off your tracker during the night.
  2. Do you remember being awake during the night. If yes, that solves it! If no, proceed to step three.
  3. Restart the tracker. See instructions in How do I restart my Fitbit device?.
  4. Confirm that the tracker is snug on your wrist (with an HR tracker, the lights shouldn't be visible).
  5. Try sleeping with the tracker on your non-dominant hand.
  6. If setting was set to sensitive please switch it to normal.
  7. If steps 1-6 do not solve the issue, I suggest manually edit the sleep log to reflect the time slept. See instructions in How do I change my sleep history?.

Let me know the outcome. Smiley Happy

The reply seems like a bot.

I’m here because I had the same issue- woke up to find I had climbed a flight of stairs in my sleep at 3:15am. OP, did you ever find a solution?

Hi mine started doing the same thing a week ago.  I have wondered if I am sleep walking because I live upstairs.

Did you ever get an answer?

I know this is an old thread but I just had this happen last night and I did not see an answer anywhere.  This is just a guess but I think it might have something to do with barometric pressure changes.  We were in the midst of some big storms last night and my Fitbit thinks I went up 6 flights of stairs in my sleep.
