Charge 3 tracking too many steps while driving

Was just gifted this and I am very disappointed in this product. Ive used many "wearables" and this is by far the worst at keeping track of my step count. Its gicing me an average of less than 10k per day. I'm a delivery driver and routinely do 50k per day. Every other wearable including my android phone keeps pretty close count. Why is this device so inaccurate? Ive adjusted the height. Ive done measurements of 100 or 200 steps and it seems to keep track of short walks. But not when I'm unloading a truck or moving across a lot. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi @Dra8er, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that you are going through this situation. I appreciate your feedback for the Fitbit Charge 3 and for your efforts in doing some step tests and adjusting your height.

Please note that our main purpose is to avoid negative experiences to our customers, we're always willing to help and provide troubleshooting steps.

Your device has been tested against driving and riding in buses, trains, and other public transportation and shouldn’t add steps when you’re traveling under normal conditions. On bumpy roads or in a car with a stiff transmission your device may add some steps. For most customers, the number of extra steps added when driving isn’t significant when compared to your overall stats. If you want to remove the steps from your daily total, manually log the driving activity for the time you were in a vehicle. For more information see: How do I edit or delete Fitbit data and activities?

You can also try plugging your tracker into the charging cable while you are driving -- the Fitbit will not count steps while it is charging.
