Charge 3 very sensitive

My charge 3 this week has all of a sudden become really sensitive and is registering 36,000-40,000 steps a day, which I know I certainly haven't been doing. It also the Fitbit GPS symbol constantly on my phone which is annoying! I have had this nearly 2 years and not seen this before this week
