Charge 3 was deactivated

I purchased my Charge 3 directly from Fitbit in July 2019. Out of the box, the top of the letters/numbers of the LED screen seemed cut off. It was more of an annoyance than anything, so I didn't bother with the return process. I just wanted to begin using my Fitbit.

About 3 months ago, I noticed it was no long charging properly and the screen would not activate with motion or depressing the side of the unit. I reset following Fitbit troubleshooting and it came back to life. (This happened more than a few times.) Last week I noticed the same missing letters/numbers at the bottom of the LED and decided to throw in the towel.

After one brief on-line chat, I received an email advising a new (refurbished?) replacement Fitbit was on the way. (BRAVO Fitbit customer service!) However, I haven't received the replacement yet, but my current Fitbit seems to have been deactivated! Although I was able to fully charge just two days ago, this morning it was dead. It won't even "buzz" when attached to the charger.

Coincidence? I've seen many messages on this site asking if Fitbit can deactivate Fitbit that have been lost/stolen, but there response is always "no". I'm not so sure about that anymore.

Welcome to the Community, @ecap.

I appreciate all the efforts in trying to fix the display issue you were having with your Charge 3. It's great to know that you will be receiving a replacement.

Now about your inquiry, as you have read, no, we can't deactivate a tracker. If your tracker's screen is blank, you can try the steps in this post.

Let me know the outcome.
