I wore my Charge 3 Fitbit into the ocean and it no longer works. The screen is blank and on charge displays a variety of screen options before going blank again.
The documentation for this product states that it is water resistant to 50m and can be worn in the ocean.
I notice a number of cases in the forum where the same thing has happened to other Fitbit users and the advice is that the Fitbit should be rinsed afterwards to prevent salt damage. If that is the case why is this issue not highlighted in the product documentation? I cannot find anything that instructs a user to rinse the Fitbit after ocean swimming. I would think that it would be important to stress that ocean swimming is not advisable or to mention the need to rinse the Fitbit immediately afterwards otherwise people could assume, as I did, that there is no issue with ocean swimming. My Fitbit is now useless. It was a very expensive swim.

@Rosebud2 Sorry to hear about your issue. I always wear mine in the shower and have taken it in the pool. You could try putting it in a bag of rice to dry it out, but it sounds like it could be dead and you should reach out to Customer Support.
