Apparently you have to sleep for 3 hours without waking for it to track your sleep. I had this issue - it did tell me how long awake, restless and asleep but not what rem, light or deep sleep. It is in the manual I was told by a Fitbit admin when I said that for someone with sleep problems that wants to track their sleep sleeping for 3 hours without waking was the issue.

Wore my new Charge 3 for the first time last night (about 6 hours of sleep) and it stated "sleep not tracked" and the app had no data. Can someone from Fitbit please provide a solid answer on what is going on and how to remedy? Thank you.

I’ve found mine is a syncing issue with the Fitbit. It will say “sleep not tracked” until I sync with the app. Even then sometimes my sync is off because the number of steps, calories, etc. do not Match. Once it pulls the information down correctly, it provides the data for you. This took closing the app and resyncing a couple times.

Had the same problem. Closed the FitBit App on my phone, Re-booted my phone, Re-opened the FitBit App, Synched my Charge 3 and sleep information appeared immediately on the tracker screen. Hope that helps.

Glad that worked for you. Mine is definitely works if I manage to stay asleep for more than 3 hours but does not if I am under 3.

I have the same issue. Fitbit advertisers that it tracks sleep. My Charge 2 always tracked my sleep. What gives?
