Charge 3 won't clear messages

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

A text will come thru on the Charge 3 as it is supposed to, but then I cannot clear the screen of the message.  I can move the message up and down, but the clear command is unresponsive.  The only way I can get the message off the screen (tried hitting the home button) is to restart the device completely.

This has happened to me multiple times.

Welcome on board @eham, it's nice to see you around! First make sure that your tracker is already running the latest firmware version update

Then, please try restarting your Charge 3 once again by following the steps below:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
  3. Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display.
  4. Press and hold the button on your tracker for 8 seconds. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.
  5. Unplug your tracker from the charging cable.

If the issue persists, I'd recommend clearing user data on your tracker.

Keep in mind that a factory reset erases all apps and personal data from Charge 3. So, please make sure to sync before doing this procedure.

On Charge 3, open the Settings app > About > Clear User Data.

Give this a go and let me know the outcome!
