Charge 3 won't receive notifications from iOS

I am getting extremely annoyed

i have followed to the “T” the instructions given due to my Charge 3 not receiving any phone call or text message notifications

This started inDecember.  Several people gave me suggestions on how to correct the issue due to FitBit having an issue with the IOS download of 13.3

i am still not receiving anything

I do not carry my phone with me when I am at work.  It is locked in a locker.  I would rely on my Fitbit for notifications.

what is being done by fitbit to correct this??

"I do not carry my phone with me when I am at work.  It is locked in a locker."
There's your issue. You have to be within ten feet of your phone in order to get notifications.

Hi there @JariJean, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that you're going trough this situation, thanks for the steps you've tried so far.

My friend @SkullBurner is right with the part he highlighted, your phone must be within 30 feet of your Fitbit device to receive notifications.

I'd like to confirm that you've followed all the steps provided in the article: Troubleshooting quick tips for iPhones.

NOTE: it is important that you turn OFF and back ON the Share System Notifications setting if it is on.

Give this a go and let me know the outcome.

I also have this problem. My phone is never far enough away to be out of range.

  • I have tried turning “Share System Notifications” off and back on.
  • I tried all steps in the article you posted
  • I restarted my Charge 3.
  • I unpaired and re-paired the device in the app

Still, no notifications. Any ideas?

@chrisSLC Check your notification settings on both your tracker and phone. Possibly the issue in your case is that notifications are disabled within the app or from the tracker itself. If you keep Do Not Disturb on, your watch abides by that as well.

Thanks for your help.

I (unintentionally) solved this.

I had already checked all the settings you mentioned.

It got solved by restarting my PHONE. I did this on accident when my battery died. Plugged it into the charger and when it booted back up the notifications worked again.

The notifications haven’t worked for several weeks, and during that time i’ve definitely restarted my phone more than once, so I think it was following these troubleshooting steps, along with restarting the phone, that solved it.

Thanks.

What if I delete the app and re install

does anyone think that will help?

it will not get any notifications

I am soooo frustrated!

There is still something wrong that I was told they are working on.  I spent an hour on 2-2 chatting with support, did all of the troubleshooting and still no text messages.  A couple of weeks before that I spent and hour and a half working with them and they opened a ticket and I was told they were working on it.  I am beyond frustrated as like you, when I'm at working I have my phone silenced and getting messages on my Fitbit was on of the big reasons I purchased a second one when the screen cracked in my first one.

For both of you, please refer to the previous post. @JariJean Normally uninstalling and reinstalling an app doesn't fix it.

I'm just saying I have done my troubleshooting directly with Fitbit and spent lots of time and still does not work.  My android was a version higher than what they supposedly have corrected.  So it's just a wait and see game is what I was told.

Me too!  Have followed directions.  Nothing.  Is anyone at FITBIT listening?

Best Answer

Nope----not any of this.  Have tried everything.  I want to hear from FITBIT that this has been fixed.  It is NOT our settings!
