My Fitbit Charge 3 would not sync. It has not synced since yesterday. I removed it from my phone, and now it refuses to connect, it keeps saying, connecting. Please help me.

Welcome to the Community, @Maryque.

I am sorry for the delay in response and appreciate all the efforts in trying to fix this syncing issue.

If your Charge 3 isn't syncing, I recommend taking a look at the help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and follow the instructions provided there.

Let me know the outcome. 🙂

That article is worthless. It is only if value to people that have a working Fitbit. I can’t even get the stupid device to even charge now. It’s completely dead. I’ve clean the contacts, changed to other USB ports, tried using a computer to charge it. I even borrowed a neighbors charging cable. Nothing works.

I don’t know what Fitbit did, but this all started not long after the last update. It was fine on April 9th. Then, on the morning of April 10th, my Fitbit alarm went off 15 minutes late. That’s when I first noticed it would not sync. I followed the recommendations and forgot my charge 3, then my iPhone 11 Pro would not even find my charge 3 as a Bluetooth device. I have shut it down, restarted my phone and charge 3 numerous times. I connected it to my computer and followed the same steps. Nothing worked and for a while all it would do is vibrate when pressing the side button and had a blank screen.

Then, on Thursday, it ceased working all together.

It went from a great tracker, to an expensive manual pedometer, to an ugly bracelet in less than a week.

I have experienced the same problem with issues starting at almost exactly the same time as yours. I also have tried restarting my phone, my Fitbit, turning Bluetooth off, disconnecting, reconnecting, all of the suggested solutions and none have worked. Now the battery life is also decreased- it won’t even last for a full day on a charge where it previously would last 5 days.

I agree with you that there is a problem with the device and jt seems linked to a software update.

Fitbit, you have any other suggestions to fix this? So disappointing!

I must say I am pretty infuriated. I purchased brand NEW Charge 3 a year ago and had to have it replaced about 4 or 5 months later. The replacement, whether it was new or refurbished I have no clue, is giving me the same issues after a few months. It will not connect to my phones bluetooth. They both have the same issue. I tried doing EVERYTHING Fitbit suggests MULTIPLE times and neither one has helped fix the issue. I showered a handful of times with my first one and thought MAYBE that's what caused it to malfunctioned, but decided after getting my replacement that I wasn't gonna do that again. I have not gotten the replacement wet at all and it STILL gives me the same malfunctioning issues. I think Fitbit needs to pull this product. It's very agonizing and only wasting people's money. It's a joke trying to talk to customer support because they tell you over and over step by step to do the same BS that you have tried on your own before contacting them. They don't listen! Makes me want to boycott Fitbit products and caution people on buying them.
