Charge 3 won't work

My Charge 3 won't work. First it went "crazy" and shifted between al menus. after that al black. Got the USB cable connected to a computer and tried to restart it, and got the smiley after 8 second, and vibrations. But it still did not work. Tried again and got the smiley but no vibrations. Then a horisontal line, but then it disapeared again and the watch is black again. What can I do?

Hi @MGK74. Welcome to the Community Forums.

Thank you for confirming that you already tried the standard restart procedure described here. Before considering other options, please make sure that you've also followed the steps listed here below to complete the long restart procedure:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable.
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

Hi. I have a similar problem. My Charge3 now only shows a black screen despite repeated attempts to reset as suggested above. It holds battery charge (the green LED on the back blinks and it vibrates whit button presses whilst unplugged), but I can't get anything else out of it.

Please help!

I have had the excat same series of event the last few days! Now the screen is all black but it syncs to the app.

Hi!

 

i have had the exact same issue. Tried the above but nothing happens when I press the side with the fitbit in the charger. No screen activity and no vibrations. 

the vibration functionality does work however cause I gives a short buzz when I press the side button quickly. 

any ideas of next steps?

I have the same problem, mine has stopped working overnight. The screen is black and there is no response when pressing the button on the side. What is going on with these watches?

I recommend restarting the trackers. If the restart process doesn't work, perform a long restart: Plug the device into the charging cable. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, hold the button down for 15 seconds.

Thanks willjoe, but that's exactly what I've been doing (along with many others it seems). No matter how long I hold the button down for, I can't get anything other than a black screen.

Hello, I have exactly the same issue and I have tried the charging method and plugging into a computer re set, the screen is still black, but it is recoding what I do??? Any ideas what to try now??
