Charge 4 Band Connection Keeps Breaking

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

This is my 4th Charge 4, yes, 4th, where the band connection has snapped off and you can no longer connect a replacement band.  The plastic piece that connects the 2 pieces breaks way too easily and is beyond repair. Are there any Charge 4s that don't have interchangeable bands or do I have crazy glue the bands to the device???? This is ridiculous!

Not sure if the problem you're describing is the same as mentioned in the following thread:

One person there suggested buying a supcase for it.

The design of band connection is not suitable for certain wrist sizes. So it's likely to give you the same problem no matter how many times you manage to get replacement. Don't bother with original bands.

Amazon carries bands that the pebble fit into so you can still wear your Fitbit.  They are not fashionable but they work.

I feel you. My 2nd just snapped off. I looked at the pics I sent support last year and it's the exact same break. This is obviously a design flaw.

I just got off the worst customer service call for the exact same issue. They originally told me they were going to send me an email with next steps, I only got an email with a survey. So I called back and then had the worst customer service he said they couldn't replace it bc it was out of warranty. This is the second time it's broke in this spot. I also have a charge 5 but the GPS is bad and I get a rash on my wrist something that's never happened before with the other watches. Considering I've been a customer for 5 years have purchased a charge 3, 4 and 5 and have a premium membership I would expect better customer support. The agent was rude and dismissive.

What are the bands called on Amazon?

My Fitbit connection broke earlier this week. I remembered a comment in the community that stated placing it in your sock worked, and I have found it to have worked well. While I consider replacing my charge for I will also consider the Amazon, wrist strap and the Amazon ankle strap That fits the charge trackers. I have found that placing the charge for in the sock has worked great and I am getting better more accurate results. That night I revert back to the old charge to because the charge for and the charge to can both be kept in the profile and easily moved between.  if I upgrade to a charge five or other device, I don’t think I can continue to use the charge for and the charge to without deleting and reinstalling. I am a blind user, and it would really be a pain to have to switch between devices and enter codes every time I wanted to switch between devices.

I am having the same problem with my Fitbit 4, third one now that has broken in the same place where the strap connects to the unit.

I wear it at night to track my sleep, which is what it is designed for and I love all the data, just really disappointed in such poor quality design.

please listen Fitbit. Your users want a better solution, and those who have purchased multiple versions love them, but they should be a little more durable.

please help us out. It’s so demoralising to be tracking everything and then have it break so quickly.
