I have always worn the Fitbit Charge devices since the first generation. I purchased the FitBit Charge 4 and noticed that I couldn’t see my screen when I was outside. At first, I thought my device died - the screen was that black. Then, I realized that if I tucked my head and my wrist inside my shirt to avoid the sun, I could almost see the screen. I did some research and saw that others had this same issue with this device, so I contacted FitBit. They had me try some things that would maybe help- but, no luck. They had me send my device back to them, which I did. They sent me a replacement that I believe is actually worse than my first one. The light is so dim. Come on FitBit- make a device that people can actually use outside. I never had this issue with any model before this one. My attempt to allow FitBit to make it right fell flat. I’m moving on to a different brand. Sorry, FitBit! I lost faith when you didn’t listen to your community of customers who all reported the screen issue with the Charge 4 and then failed to make it right with me. I just want a screen that I can see outside.

Hi Fitbit,
my device screen stops working. I can do the hard reset in the charger and holding button for 8 seconds and it works for a bit and then after couple of hours screen stops coming on again so I have to do it again.
I thought originally battery had ran out so charged. I later noticed could still connect to it with the app.
it has only started since the firmware update 😭
Can you help please!?

Yet another dud Fitbit this time a replacement charge 4 .Yes it's 2 years old but hey.Tried all the re-set options still no joy, blank screen.A family member has a Huawei for over 4 years and has never missed a beat.Seeing all the comments about this problem says it all.

I have a similar issue, but it was not from the beginning, it is just got dim suddenly this week. Unable to see anything specially outdoor activities. I have tried to adjust the brightness from the setting, but no luck. It says brightness setting is normal.
Any suggestion to my problem

I had a similar problem. Was working fine then for the last month or so the screen became much fainter, until it became impossible to read outdoors or even indoors sometimes. It also stopped being responsive to wrist movements that used to stitch the screen on.
A bit moot though, as it's just died completely. One minute syncing fine, the next it's unresponsive, competition blank screen, no vibrations, won't charge and not syncing.
