This issue actually started with my Charge 3. Occasionally (maybe once a month) I would wake up and randomly have 12000 steps when I had been asleep the entire night.
Now with my Charge 4 it has gotten way worse. It's happening at least once a week and I will get between 12,000 up to more than 80,000 steps during a 15 minute period sometime in the middle of the night. I have received several badges for 35,000-100,000 steps in a day that I didn't earn, which is really disappointing to me when I have really high step goals cause I don't get that satisfaction of earning a new badge.
Per customer support before, I have reset the Fitbit, even got a new Fitbit to try to remedy this, and each time it happens, I'll enter "driving" as an activity and it will fix the step count for the day at least. But it doesn't affect the badges at all. This is getting incredibly annoying to have to fix my steps all the time.
I never had this issue with my previous Fitbits.
