My sleep tracker doesn’t start counting my sleep until I’ve been asleep for about 3 hours.. I consistently see that I’ve only slept around 4 hours.

@Sschuon , Nice to see you here. Thank you for your message and for taking the time to verify the data.
Please make sure that your sleep setting is in normal and not on sensitive What's the difference between the normal and sensitive sleep setting?
Try wearing the Charge 4 a bit tighter or looser during your sleep. Maybe it moves and your sleep cannot be recognized.
Hope this helps

My charge 4 also doesn’t start measuring sleep until 2-3 hours after I go to sleep. Last night it started 2 hours after I went to sleep; sometimes it’s more than 3 hours. Really annoying. The band is snug and monitoring set to Normal. What else can I do?

@elena8000 , A warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for your message and for verifying the settings.
If the Charge 4 is worn too tight, the heart rate might not be recognized correctly.
Try to wear it a bit looser or higher on the wrist.
If this doesn't help, restart the Charge 4 and wear it for 3-4 days to see if the sleep record is being recognized.

Hi JuanFitbit. I’ll try the band changes and if that doesn’t work maybe a restart will. I’ll keep you posted. Thanks! Elena

So…it’s still missing hours even after the firmware update, a restart, and trying the band change. Although I have been wearing the band in the same place for a year with only occasional issues. Now it’s happening regularly. In fact last night it didn’t start tracking until four hours after I went to sleep(!). I’m now using an iPhone app as backup. The phone app is correctly measuring hours asleep and much more. Very disappointed in the Charge 4 since my main reason for choosing Fitbit was the good reviews about sleep tracking.

My Fitbit’s ability to track sleep was Rick solid until May of this year. Then it started to miss a day or two a week. For the last month, it has only detected sleep 1 or 2 days a week. Resets etc have done nothing. Firmware was updated last week and it still is unable to consistently track sleep. Very disappointed.

That’s around the same time mine started with measuring issues. It has missed full nights, most recently on Sunday. Maybe the firmware update has made it worse.
