My Charge 4 was having syncing problems and I finally found a resolution. Sharing it here in case you’re having the same problem!
My symptoms: when trying to resync my Charge 4 with my IPhone, I kept getting stuck at inserting the 4 digit pin and the device face kept prompting me to “download the latest app…” when I had just uninstall/reinstall the Fitbit app on my phone.
What I did:
1) I disconnected my Charge 4 from my Fitbit app.
2) on my Charge 4, go to Settings, Clear User Data
3) It might take a few seconds, you’ll see the smiley face to know when the user data has been cleared
4) now try setting up your Charge 4 as before: in the Fitbit app, setup device etc
5) you should be able to get past the 4 digit pin screen this time. You might see the same “download the latest app…” message on your Charge 4, ignore it, it should go away pretty quickly.
