Charge 4 Wristband problems

I recently tore the original  wristband and replaced it with the extra that came in the box.  In the past 5 days I have had it disconnect from the watch and almost lose it.  I was a fitbit 1 user since 2013 and recently switched to a watch.  I am a Fitbit fanatic but will find it very hard to stay if I can't get it resolved and lose it.
