Charge 4 battery is draining quickly

Yesterday I updated by Charge 4 and now it won't hold a charge.  it was fully charged last night before bed and I woke up at 4:00 am and the battery was dead.  It usually lasts 5-7 days without needing to be charged.  Why did the update ruin the battery??
