My watch is consistently getting 3 hours of battery life. I’m not running GPS and I adjusted sync settings, which made absolutely zero difference. I’ve tried rebooting and I’m beyond frustrated. This is my first Fitbit product and I’m very disappointed so far!

If you’re certain gps is off it sounds like it’s just defective and needs exchanged. I’m at 50% after 3 days and a couple updates installed

I’ve never turned it on. The only place that I’ve saw to turn it on or off is under exercise in settings. It is set to be on during running, walking, and hiking. I haven’t done any of those and so far. I’m pretty sure it’s defective, but I want to be 100%. Customer service didn’t go through any of that. They had me reboot it and that was it. So I’m willing to try anything.

Mine was charged to 100% this morning, I went for an hour and a half run and it's now drained to 48% by evening. This can't be right.

Hi @garland.daniel and @Lempi1, welcome on board. @Holeweet, it's great to see you here in the forums and thanks for sharing your insight. I'm sorry for the delayed response.
@garland.daniel, thanks for bringing this to my attention, as well for troubleshooting your Charge 4 prior posting. I got in touch with our Support team and I was told that you already have a case opened with them which is under review. They'll contact you back via email with more details. Please note that due to recent events affecting our operations there might be a delay in their reply, but they'll get in touch with you soon.
@Lempi1, thanks for sharing that your Charge 4 is also not holding charge. Just to confirm, may I know if you used GPS during your run? Have you used other apps regularly on your tracker, such as Spotify? I'm asking this as the battery life of your tracker will depend on how often some apps are used. You can find more details in this help article. Let me know if this issue persists despite having taken those tips into consideration.
I'll be around.

I have a brand new fitbit, also first time user. My battery is also depleted after 3 hours, and I have trouble syncing with my phone.

Hi @Taminy. Welcome. It's great to see a new face around and I'm sorry for the delay.
Thanks for letting me know about your experience with the Charge 4 and let me help you with each of your inquiries. As with other electronic devices, the battery will depend on the features and how often they're used, such as the GPS tracking or even the Spotify app. This doesn't mean that you shouldn't use them, but just to take into consideration the conditions that may affect your tracker's battery. Please try the tips to maximize the battery life described in this help article and make sure to use the charging cable that came with your device.
About the syncing issues, do you see an error message on the Fitbit app? Since your post didn't mention, I'd recommend to give a try to the troubleshooting steps from this help article. If the same keeps happening, I'll need you to provide me with your phone's model and OS/software version.
I'll look forward to your response.

I am also facing the battery issue with my Fitbit charge 4, I am at home and gps in my Fitbit is off and I don’t use any other app on the Fitbit. Its on my wrist mainly to count my heart rate and track my sleep. After buying I fully charged it and in less than 4 days battery level was at 8%

This is my issue too. I charged mine to 100% at 10pm last night and by 3am the battery was completely dead. Have re-set it and turned off GPS as all have suggested, and gone through to reduce notifications and anything else that might affect it. Also seen other things like gaps between pebble and band that I am experiencing. Have a long history with fitbit, and quality does seem to have reduced over the years.

I just purchased my Charge 4. Less than a day, basically using it as a watch & pedometer (no exercises, no apps, etc) and it goes from a 100% charge to 0% when Charge 4 is supposed to sustain a charge for 7 days. Very disappointed.

went for a hike and out of battery not even half way (3hours). My friend's garmin lasted the whole day and was still at 60-70%.
I'm switching to garmin for sure, only had issues with those fitbit. GPS lost after 10min EVERY run, sync is a nightmare...

I've had my Charge since November. It has worked great until the last week or so. The battery drops 10% as soon as I unplug it. Its completely dead after a few hours (it lasted for several days before this). I've been through the help feature and tried the suggestions. Any other ideas?

My Charge 3 used to last six days. My new Charge 4 only lasted three days on the first full charge. GPS is off, screen is on Dim which is not usable in sunlight at all. Do these really last 'up to 7 days'?

Hello, for about one week I've been having similar problems as other users with Charge 4. Did you guys update something? I certainly didn't change any setting, but my battery now lasts about a day, while before it was lasting 7 days.
I played with some settings and deactivated GPS (I did not know it was on, I certainly didn't activate it) and I'm charging it again, hoping it fixes the issue. In the meantime, perhaps you may want to check whether there's something else explaining this sudden Charge 4 battery epidemic.

I was never able to get mine to stay charged. I used the online help (via chat). They were able to see the history of my Fitbit and see when the issue started. I told them everything I had already tried to fix the problem. After chatting a bit they simply replaced my Fitbit. It was an easy process but I don't think mine was fixable.
