I noticed midday December 9 my watch screen wasn't working so I had just charged it the day before so I thought it was odd I decided to put it back on charge and try to reset it but it did nothing I left it there awhile tried again and it started to vibrate but that was all I eventually did get a smile on the screen and then went back to just vibration then to nothing a few hours went by I had pressed the side button and then sat it down I went to get up and forgot it in my lap and noticed the screen working it only lasted a couple hours went right back to not working again I have noticed the green lights in the back still working though so I don't understand what's going on

Mine does the exaxt same thing, did you find a solution?
Fitbit says my fitbit is out of warranty and now they want me to spend money on a new device but I feel there must be a solution to this problem.

Mine is exactly the same everything display wise isn't working until I charge then only whilst on charge all screen works . But pressing the sides isn't working either I wandered if we put do not disturb on ?

P.s this is my 2nd charge 4 in 3 years, don't think iam going with them again

I know! You get a discount code from Fitbit which I appreciate, but I don’t think something that cost me $150 should stop working just over a year and then I have to buy a new one??
That 1 year warranty is too short id you ask me. This is also my 2nd in 3 years time.
No fitbit for me anymore if they don’t come up with a better solution.

I have gone through exactly the same thing, they sent me a rebate code for 35% off the regular price, lol , which brings the charge 5 to exactly the same price as the current on sale price. I did notice that this issue started not long after I did the latest update, has anyone else noticed this?

I had the exact same problem
for days and I left the fitbit in the charger.
I got a screen with 100 and I tried everything, but it didn’t work, but I left it in the charger just like I thought it would magically turn on again……then this morning I tried 1 more time to do the long restart. Took it out the charger and then press the button for 12 seconds. It buzzed for 12 seconds, then 2 short buzzes (still pressed the button) and then the smiley face came again, waited 2 more seconds pressing the button and now it is working again.
So happy I didn’t buy a new fitbit yet. Just not sure for how long it will work tho.
