I can not see the screen. Can I change the brightness through my phone. Thank you

If you haven't done so yet, please try the steps below:
If the above doesn't work, please restart your Fitbit device once again as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device? Note: Restarting the device doesn’t delete any data. If the restart doesn't work try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.

I did try syncing as a troubleshooting before asking for help and also restarting the Fitbit. I was lucky my daughter has good eyesight and managed to change the brightness to normal for me but it still is not readable when outdoors.
previous charge products I was able to change the brightness through my computer. One would of though this function would still be available with new technology
